Portfolio Generator was developed under a restricted term licence. The software is primarily intended for use with the C&G Motor Vehicle courses.

The main role of the software is to provide performance criteria in the form of a candidate portfolio and generate required paperwork relevant to a course.

The application stores, among other data:

The basic method of generating a portfolio is for a Candidate, Employer and Managing Agent to be entered. A course is then selected and a list of available Qualifications is made available from which a required one is selected.

Upon selection of a required Qualification, a list of available routes is provided.

Selection of a required Route is made and the relevant Certificate Title is displayed along with the Units available.

Finally a selection is made of the Units that a Candidate requires/is required to take.

This complete process identifies the documentation that is relevant to enable the Candidate to complete the course.

The documentation is stored in pdf format and displayed within the software.

Upon print­out, a Personalised title page and summary of the units selected (with additional space for units to be added by hand) complete with a column allowing for the unit Assessor Name and Signature required is generated from the software.

Individual Unit documentation is able to be produced as well as full Unit documentation.

There is an ability to archive data for completed courses.
