'During the period from 1990 to 1993, the European Visual Arts Centre at Ipswich commissioned the development of computer software to integrate our relational databases.

Following the initial development of the integration software, we further commissioned the development of software for our Image Technology in European Museums and art galleries (ITEM) database, which was being circulated in hardcopy format every six months to subscribers in 15 countries worldwide.  

The resulting application allowed the data to be controlled for publication in hard copy as well as being distributed on disks on a more regular basis with the option to print out required information.'
